THE TREATMENT

How it works

Eyelid Tightening uses Alma Hybrid technology to deliver controlled laser energy to the delicate periocular area.

The Alma Hybrid platform combines an ablative CO₂ wavelength with a non-ablative 1570 nm wavelength, allowing the clinician to tailor how much surface resurfacing and deeper thermal stimulation is used within the treatment plan.

This controlled energy is used to support skin renewal and collagen remodelling, with the objective of improving the appearance of texture, fine lines and laxity around the eyes.

Because the eyelid area is particularly delicate, treatment parameters are determined carefully following consultation and clinical assessment.

What to expect

Your appointment begins with a consultation to assess the eyelid area, your medical history, previous treatments and what you would like to improve.

If Eyelid Tightening is considered suitable, the treatment area is prepared and appropriate eye protection is used before laser treatment begins.

During the procedure, you may experience warmth, heat or a prickling sensation depending on the treatment settings used.

Temporary redness, swelling, sensitivity, dryness or visible skin recovery may occur afterwards.

AFTERCARE

Looking after your skin afterwards

Follow the personalised aftercare instructions provided by your clinician, as these should always take priority over general skincare advice.

Keep the area clean and avoid rubbing, picking or unnecessary touching while the skin recovers.

Strong retinoids, exfoliating acids and other potentially irritating active skincare should be paused until your clinician confirms they can be resumed.

Avoid unnecessary sun exposure and use appropriate broad-spectrum sun protection around the treated area once advised.

Temporary redness, swelling or sensitivity can occur. Contact the clinic promptly if you experience unexpected symptoms, increasing pain, significant swelling or any concern involving your vision or recovery.
